Classic, classy tavern atmosphere, and bustling on a Saturday night. I hosted a small wedding party there. The food was creative but not weird - and plentiful. In our party, we had a pizza, a chicken sandwich, the pork chop, a ribeye, vegan rigatoni, scallops, plus bread and grilled cornbread, and a variety of beverages from craft cocktails to wine to soda and coffee. There wasn't a dud in any of our meals. The service was friendly, efficient, and thoughtful - and fast, which was wonderful for most of our guests who had driven over from the Bay area and were ready for a good meal. Can't wait to go back!
My first time there was on a Friday night. The hostess was welcoming and pleasant. I knew this place was going to be good when she said there was an hour and half wait for a table. We sat at the bar to eat and it was quite a show. My first view of the menu became overwhelming. Everything sounded so delicious and I wanted a taste of it all. I'm definitely recommending Market Tavern. The best first impression of all time.
We had dinner with friends to celebrate a birthday, and everything was phenomenal! Our table ordered the chicken parmesan, the turkey and vegetable soup, and the four cheese lasagna — all absolutely delicious. Our waiter, Chris, provided excellent service and was incredibly attentive throughout the night. We also loved that they have a little store where you can buy items from the menu along with other goodies. We’ll definitely be back so my husband can enjoy the full experience. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time at Market Tavern. It was my moms birthday and we both enjoyed our food. She had the pork chop and the broccoli soup and I had the margarita pizza. Everyone was very welcoming. Our server, Sahira was very pleasant and attentive. We will definitely be back again.
This is a great place to eat. The halibut and cod dinner are delightful. The chicken parm is incredible. Service is fast and friendly. They offer private rooms. Staff is accommodating and professional. Love this place.
Today I had a business lunch here and was quite impressed. The minestrone soup was fantastic. The standard salad was simple but tasted great. My friend got the ahi tuna sandwich and he loved it. Service was fast and the servers could not have been more friendly and helpful. Restaurant is immaculately clean, and so is the bathroom. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area.
This restaurant is great. Love the food, services and the clean interior. Little pricey but worth it. Try them out if you’re in the Lincoln Center, Stockton. 👍
I wanted to take my mom to this place for 2 days. My day really didn't go too well. - But that's not important. We planned on having brunch, but that didn't exactly happen But later since we were still hungry and hadn't really eaten I decided to take her for dinner - I must say it was phenomenal. We didn't wait as long as they said we might have to. Amazing service, amazing food. - The deviled eggs are to die for. The water was SO crisp and fresh. I had so much of it. Very ambient table lighting during dinner. (They did get my mom's order wrong, she asked about ribs but ordered lasagna. They gave her ribs. It wasn't a big deal though.) I appreciate my experience and I look forward to another.. maybe next year. (A little pricey, but definitely worth it. I also ordered quite a bit which i rarely do. It was my treat but my mom and I were celebrating my work accomplishments lately.) The server I had treated my mom and I very well and I'll be having food there again. Thank you Market Tavern.
They handled the thanksgiving meal like professionals. Food was outstanding and very generous portions. The environment is very classy especially their back room which is quite romantic and charming
This place came up in 4 different searches. Everything was sooo good here! Great NY day find. The fish tacos were scrumptious, Brussels sprouts had a nice twist and dessert was gluten free and amazing! BF said chicken sandwich was super good too! Our server Jesse was super nice ans helpful! Overall an excellent experience!
